About / our vision
Gathering a
scattered people.
Our mission is to gather a scattered people into a church community of Kingdom-minded disciples.
We recognize that everything depends on God. It is God who works in us. He works in and through us by grace, through faith, through prayer, persistence, and patience. A biblical church community of Kingdom-minded disciples cannot be programmed. It is the living product of God's grace working in the lives of his people.
"Remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples, but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.' They are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong hand."

Biblical teaching and learning
We cannot be a church community of Kingdom-minded disciples without sound biblical teaching. "God's Word is God's chosen instrument to create, convict, convert, and conform His people" (Mark Dever). God's people respond to God's Word in faith and obedience. Biblical teaching and learning is our primary focus in worship and ministry. We want to be a people who are hungry to learn God's Word, not only to understand it, but to love and obey it.

Covenant community
The church is Christ's covenant community. Biblical covenants show the importance of God's initiative and sovereignty. The community is formed not on our own terms but on God's. It includes believers and their children, for the promises are "for you and for your children" (Genesis 17:7-10, Acts 2:39), and a diversity of people, all who are far off. We seek to strengthen covenant marriages and families and to include singles as vital members.

Kingdom mindset
A church focused only inward becomes ingrown. True maturity includes a wider vision of the Kingdom. As Tim Keller writes, the kingdom of God is the means of renewal of the entire world and every dimension of life, so the church must intentionally use its resources to minister in every circle. We are to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16), in the world but not of it.

A life of discipleship
Our vision is to be a biblical community of Kingdom-minded disciples who are growing, serving, sharing, and being used by God as change agents in the world. We view our whole lives as discipleship, building pathways toward maturity in Christ through large-group teaching, small groups, and one-on-one discipling. Disciple-making is the essential command of the Great Commission: "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
